Keeping You Informed
Hampton Roads Transit and the Naval Station Corridor Project team hosted Community Workshops in June to update residents, businesses, and major stakeholders about the status of our project and where we’ll be heading over the next several months. Meetings were held at Military Circle Mall (6/15), Calvary Presbyterian Church (6/16), and at a pop-up event at The Newtown Road Station (6/16)
These Community Meetings had information on the proposed alignment from the Newtown Road Station to Military Circle (Phase 1); and Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) to Naval Station Norfolk (Phase 2).
Answering Your Questions
More than 100 attendees were able to get information on this next phase of the study and to get questions answered by the project team on the proposed alignment and stations (Sentara Leigh area and Military Circle).
Many attendees were from the area near the Newtown Road station as well as major employers.
A survey was completed by many of the attendees and we’ll be sharing the results with you soon. Until then, please reach out to the project team if you have any questions or would like to request a presentation for your organization or community group.
