NSNTCP Stakeholder Advisory Committee Holds First Meeting

On October 31st, the project’s Stakeholder Advisory Commitee held their first meeting in the offices of Hampton Roads Transit.

Committee Purpose:

• Committee Composition: Regional leaders who represent the views of key stakeholder

• Committee Purpose:

  • Provide valuable input regarding the needs and solutions for connecting the existing Tide light rail, the Military Highway Corridor and the Naval Base

  • Engage constituencies and share information to broaden the reach and effectiveness of project outreach activities

Committee Expectations:

• Meet approximately nine times over the next 30 months (Quarterly)

• Provide insights to the project from their personal perspective and that of their organization

• Engage their organization’s stakeholders to be informed and participate

• Commit to attending and actively participating in committee meetings throughout the project
